Project 1 - Visualisation project for Velocity ProGear. This project was to demonstrate the features of the PTB-1

Functionality & Fabric.

This project with HatchDesign was for the brand Velocity ProGear and its catalog of specialist tool bags

This animation was created to reveal Velocity ProGear's new PTB-1 tool bag. Besides using reference images, the bag was modelled from scratch, requiring significant effort to ensure it looked and moved like the real product. Custom models and materials were developed specifically for this project, which took time to perfect.

Introducing the PTB-1

Capturing all the detail

The model was the most challenging part to perfect. Reference images were helpful, but ensuring every angle looked right required back-and-forth adjustments to achieve proper proportions.

Even the base of the bag needed to match and be shown, with the heavy-duty aspect of the bag on full display in this shot.

Every Detail

In this case, the client wanted certain tools and the peripherals that a specific tradesman would have, this meant researching and creating a couple of one-off assets for this shot alone.

For Specific trades

One of the difficulties this project presented was making each type of material in the real bag as accurate as possible in the render. For this, Blender's procedural materials were used extensively to achieve the best result.

Velocity ProGear Project 2 - Qucik Turn Around

The turnaround for this project was much quicker than the original, taking only about a week compared to the month required for the PTB-1 project. This faster pace meant that the back-and-forth communication we had during the last project was no longer feasible; we had to approach this as a one-and-done project. Nevertheless, the animation took precedence because it was intended for a tradeshow booth, aiming to attract potential customers.

Looped & Simple

Full of details

This was the second product that needed to be developed. Using a custom camo material and animated wheels, it turned out much better than expected. Even with a shorter time frame for iterations, we were able to utilize the details and materials from the previous model, which greatly reduced the time required for this project. This allowed us to focus primarily on modelling and animation throughout the process.

Velocity ProGear Project 3 - Rapid Work

This project required 3 separate bags to be modelled and presented again in a quick turnaround. and was by far the most difficult to create. Using the previous models as a base the

The LTB

Each bag again had specific trades that where designed for. the LTB has internal padded walls that can be customised to the users needs by velcro strips along the inside walls.

The 4.0 - X.s

All bags were modelled, materialised, and animated inside the Blender.

All bags where designed by Velocity ProGear with the modelling being based on product photos to get accurate results.
